男子不妊症の統計的観察および妊娠に関する追跡予後調査

Abstract

Clinical and statistical studies were carried out on 224 infertile male patients visiting our clinic during the 5 years from January 1973 to December 1977. These patients composed 4.7% of the total male out-patients. If divided into 5-year age groups, the highest frequency occurred in the 30 to 34 year-old age group. Infertility was most commonly observed in 2 to 3 years after marriage. In the semen analysis, 19.5% of the patients showed azoospermia, 32.4% oligozoospermia, 21 .9% normospennia and 26.2% unknown. In the 41 vesiculographies performed, 32.9% were normal, 12.2% abnormal (2 dysplasias, 3 non-visualizings), and 4.9% were unknown. In the 40 testicular biopsies performed, 50% showed hypospermatogenesis, 20% aspermatogenesis, 7.5% interstitial cell hyperplasia, 5.0% unknown, and 17.5% normal. Follow-up studies for pregnancy were performed on 151 cases. Among the 60 cases which we were able to study, 22 (36.9%) had successful pregnancies, 10 of which were treated and 12 were untreated.
