各種尿路感染症に対するCefradineの使用経験

Abstract

Cefradine was administered orally to twenty cases of various urinary tract infections at a dosage of 1, 000 mg for five days. Among fifteen patients with acute cystitis, there was satisfactory therapeutic response in all patients. Out of three patients with chronic cystitis, good response was seen in only one patient. One patient with acute pyelonephritis was judged as showing a good response to cefradine, but another patient with chronic prostatitis showed a poor response. Overall effectiveness rate was 85 %. As for side effects of cefradine, gastrointestinal disturbance was observed in only one case, but the drug administration could be continued.
