赤血球増多症を伴った腎細胞癌の2例

Abstract

Two cases of polycythemia associated with renal cell carcinoma were here reported. Case 1: A 48-year-old man showed REC 661 X lO'jmm3, Hb 18.1 g/dl and hematocrit 55.4%. All these hematological findings returned to normal level after nephrectomy for tumor of the kidney. Pathohistological finding of the kidney was adenocarcinoma of the clear cell type. Two years and nine months have passed without evidence of recurrence of tumor as well as hematological abnormalities. Case 2: A 65-year-old woman showed REC 652×10[4]mm3, Hb 17.8 g/dl and hematocrit 55.2% These abnormal findings disappeared after nephrectomy for tumor of the kidney. Pathohistological finding of the removed kidney was adenocarcinoma of the clear cell type. Six months postoperatively, the patient is healthy and free of hematological abnormalities. These are the 15th and 16th reported cases of polycythemia associated with renal cell carcinoma in Japan.
