女子単純性膀胱炎における尿, 尿道, 腟の細菌学的検討

Abstract

We attempted to establish a causal relationship between the introital bacteria and the lower urinary tract infection. The cultures for the urethral and vaginal swab were obtained from 54 normal women and 217 patients with the lower urinary tract infection. E. coli was isolated in 3 women (5.6%) from the urethra and from the vagina of 54 normal women. By contrast, 217 patients with the lower urinary tract infection had significantly higher occurrence. E. coli was isolated in 51 patients (23.5%) from the urethra and in 65 patients (30.0%) from the vagina. We, however, could not find any significant difference between the incidence of isolated GNR from the urethra or from the vagina in patients with and without the history of the lower urinary tract infection within last year.
