ウイルムス腫瘍9例の臨床的観察

Abstract

We have treated 9 cases of, , yilms' tumor during the past 15 years from 1965 to 1979. This series includes an adult Wilms' tumor of 16-year-old man and 2 cases given a clue by renal trauma. Among laboratory findings, an abnormal increase of red cell sedimantation rate was observed in 7 of 8 cases, CRP-positive in 6 of 8 cases, dysproteinemia, particularly a high level of iX2-globulin in 7 of 8 cases and an abnormal high level of LDH in 6 of 7 cases. Renal arteriography was performed in 6 cases; 5 children and 1 adult. These children showed an irregular tumor vascularity such as creeping vine or spaghetti pattern and the adult case had an avascular tumor. All the cases received a combination of radical operation and chemotherapy, and 3 cases underwent an additional irradiation therapy. One case is undergoing chemotherapy and irradiation for a lung metastasis at present. One case died of lung metastases and 1 case of acute renal failure. The remaining 6 cases have had no complaint from the malignancy to date. The adult case who was treated with radical operation, irradiation and chemotherapy; cyclophosphamide and COPP, is alive over 10 years.
