前立腺癌に対するEstramustine phosphate disodiumの臨床的検討

Abstract

Twenty-five patients with advanced prostatic cancer (22 patients without previous treatment and 3 patients with refractory disease to anti-androgenic therapy) were orally administered with estramustine phosphate disodium and its effectiveness were evaluated. The drug was administered at daily dosis of 560 mg as estramustine phosphate for three months. The response in subjective symptoms and objective signs was documented and evaluated to three criteria. In 22 patients without previous treatment, complete remission occurred in 27%, partial remission in 55% and non-effectiveness in 18%. In 3 patients with refractory disease to anti-androgenic therapy partial remission occurred in 67% and non-effectiveness in 33%. As side effects of this drug, gynecomastia, gastro-intestinal disturbance, panting and oppressive sense of chest were observed. But these side effects were not so severe that the treatment must be stopped.
