抄録: To test the cellular immunocompetence in patients with bladder carcinoma, a study was made on lymphocytes subpopulation of 34 patients and 35 healthy men. T cell was identified by spontaneous rosette formation with sheep erythrocytes, and B cell was identified by EAC rosette formation. T lymphocytes bearing Fc receptors for IgG (IgGFcR+ T cells) was detected by double rosette formation of neuraminidase treated sheep erythrocytes and glutaraldehyde treated sensitized ox erythrocytes. The percentages of IgGFcR+ T cells in total T cells in peripheral lymphocytes of 35 healthy men and 34 untreated bladder cancer patients were 5.8± 1.9% and 14.2 ±8.4% respectively, the percentages of T cells in peripheral lymphocytes of 35 healthy men and 34 untreated bladder cancer patients were 81.3 ±6.3% and 68.6 ± 14.0% respectively. The difference of these figures was statistically significant. There was a tendency of decrease in percentage and absolute count of T cell of the patients with higher grade and stage of the tumor. Contrary, there was a tendency of increasing percentages of IgGFcR+ T cells in total T cells of the patients with higher grade and stage of the tumor. No influence of operation was found on T cell percentage, absolute count of T cell and the percentage of IgGFcR+ T cells in total T cells. Steroids which was secreted by stimulation of operative stress might effect on the percentages of IgGFcR+ T cells in total T cells.
