| dc.description.abstract | The MIG of cinoxacin for E. coli was determined for clinical isolates from the patients with acute simple cystitis. The peak of the MIG value was 3.13ug/ml. Ginoxacin gave MIG values almost same as those of nalidixic acid and inferior to those of pipemidic acid. Ginoxacin was tried in 64 cases of acute simple cystitis. The dose was 200 mg orally twice a day for 3 to 7 days. Its therapeutic effect was estimated as excellent in 56 cases, good in 4 cases and poor in 4 cases, the effectiveness rate being 94%. Bacteriologically, bacteria vanished in 68 strains of 71. No adverse reaction was noted in any of the cases. | en |
