泌尿器科領域における硫酸アミカシンの点滴静注による治療経験

Abstract

Clinical evaluation of amikacin sulfate, an arninoglycoside antibiotic, was performed on urological infection. This antibiotic was dripped intravenously or injected intramuscularly twice a day to 9 cases with complicated urinary tract infection and to 11 cases prophylactically for postoperative infection. In the group with complicated infection in urinary tract, the results were excellent in one, moderate in 5 and poor in 3 cases (the overall effectiveness rate was 66.7%). As for bacteriological response, in 9 out of 10 strains the activity was reduced to negative. In the group to which the agent was applied prophylactically, the results were satisfactory in 8, slightly good in one and ineffective in 2 cases. As for the side effects, hepatic dysfunction was seen in only one patient with history of hepatitis.
