膀胱腫瘍に対するAdriamycinの膀胱腔内注入療法

Abstract

Intravesical instillation of 50 mg of adriamycin was performed in 10 patients with transitional cell carcinoma of the bladder. One course consisted of instillation of consecutive three days and pause of following seven days. Cystoscopic evaluation was made after two courses. Shrinkage of tumor less than 50% of original size was regarded as non-response and that greater than 50% as response. The third and fourth course was further conducted in the latter group. Histologic evaluation was made on the specimens obtained by surgery or TUR. The therapeutic effect was evaluated by cystoscopic and pathohistologic findings. Thus, evaluation of ten patients gave 4 excellent responses, 2 fair response and 4 non-response. This type of treatment is thought to be indicated for tumors of stage A and type α infiltration.
