膀胱に原発した神経節細胞腫(ganglioneuroma)の1症例

Abstract

Herein is reported a case of ganglioneuroma that originated in the bladder wall of a 62-year-old man who complained of gross hematuria and dysuria. Laboratory examinations revealed no elevation of VMA in the urine but mild elevation of the serum CEA. A well-encapsulated solid tumor, 5×5×3cm in size, was found in the right lateral wall of the bladder during the operation. The tumor was very hard and the cut surface was gray to yellow-brown. The well-differentiated ganglion cells and neuron sheath cells without mitosis were histologically evident. Postoperative course was uneventful. The serum CEA level dropped to the normal range soon after the operation. The literature on ganglioneuroma is reviewed.
