尿膜管癌の5例

Abstract

Five cases of urachal carcinoma were presented. Partial cystectomy were performed on three cases and they survived 9 years and 2 months, 2 years and 10 months, and 2 years and 4 months postoperatively. In the two other cases the transversalis fascia, the fatty tissue in the cave of Rezius and an adequate margin of the bladder wall together with the overlying peritoneum were excised en bloc, but one died 2 years and 6 months after operation with disseminated carcinoma and the other 3 days after operation due to disseminated intravascular coagulation. Histologically adenocarcinoma were found in all cases (papillary adenocarcinoma in one case and mucinous adenocarcinoma in the others). Low-graded adenocarcinoma were seen in the three patients who received partial cystectomy. We suggest that partial cystectomy may provide good results if the urachal tumor is at a low grade. Computed tomography was undertaken in one case and demonstrated to be useful to clarify the local invasion of urachal carcinoma.
