| dc.description.abstract | Fifty three patients with renal cell carcinoma admitted to our hospital during the past nineteen years were studied, mainly focusing on the factors that affect the survival rate. The one year survival rates of male and female patients were 93 % and 100 %, respectively, and the five year survival rates 63.6% and 88.2%, respectively. The present study also showed that erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), tumor weight, and pathological staging were the important factors that affect the prognosis. Combined radiation and chemotherapy tended to show a better survival rate than chemotherapy alone. | en |
