エンドキサン投与により発生したと考えられる膀胱腫瘍の1例

Abstract

A 54-year-old woman was diagnosed as Hodgkin's disease in 1979, and treated with cyclophosphamide, vincristine, vinblastine and predonisolone for a year. She was given a total dose 18g cyclophosphamide 50 mg daily. Hemorrhagic cystitis appeared 10 months after the beginning of the therapy and recurrent hematuria persisted for 3 months. Therefore cyclophosphamide was discontinued. One month after the cessation, necrotic tissues which contained many cells seemed to be malignant were discharged in the urine. Since cystoscopy revealed a broadbased bladder tumor on the posterior wall, the tumor was resected transurethrally. Histological examination of the specimens did not ascertain the diagnosis of bladder carcinoma. Three months after the operation bladder tumor appeared again, and had no malignancy in histopathologic examination. However we think this case may have a malignant feature in future because of its recurrent character, and should be followed up very carefully.
