北魏官營貿易に關する考察 : 西域貿易の展開を中心として

Abstract

The trade between Turkistan and China was opened since Wu-ti (武帝) of the Han (漢) Dynasty and came to be flourished toward the regnal year of Tai-yen (太延) of Pei-wei. When the first wave of trade came, the Chinese Government caught it and gathered the Turkistan technicians under the direct control of the despotic Government. After a short interval the wave came on breast-high and even the nobles were engaged in trading transactions. We do well to remenber the descriptions of Lo-yang-chia-Ian-chi (洛陽伽藍記). The attitude of the Government toward this situation was the same--that is to regulate the trade because of its consciousness of the importance of the Turkistan goods for the Chinese economy. I am not of the ordinary opinion that China opened the trade only for lust of gain.
