黄巾の亂の政治的側面 : 主として宦官との關係からみて

Abstract

Until now the revolt has been regarded as a peasants' revolt, or else it has it has been studied in its religious aspects. The relation between the revolt and the eunuchs has not yet been investigated, though the latter played an important part in the political situation of the late Hou Han 後漢 period. In the historical sources, however, there are quite a few references to the relations between them. Considering the importance of the eunuchs in this period we cannot regard those references as a mere accident. The relations between the revolt and the eunuchs, owing to the character of the sources, are described from the stand point of the latter. On the other hand, however, the description makes it clear how the Yellow Turban party appealed to the eunuchs and court. It shows that the Yellow Turban revolt, which has been regarded as a peasants' revolt, was a great political movement which included the eunuchs. In this article the author proposes a new conception of the late Hou Han period through the analysis of the Yellow Turban revolt, especially in relation to the eunuchs.
