抄録: | In the middle of the 13th century, many tribal armies left over from the conquering activities of Chinkkiz Khan'z grandson Hulagu as well as troops from the Western outposts of the Mongolian empire took over the conquered territory--with Iran as its center--as it was and, for a variety of reasons, established the Ilkhanate. These units which stood in no close direct relation with the ruling family of Hulagu engaged in constant fighting related to the succession of the position of the Khan. In 1295. Hulagu's great-grandson Ghazan used his fief Khurasan as a base and invaded Adherbaijan. Taking the position of Khan, he thoroughly eliminated all segregating troops and in a sweeping reform instituted a new structure of power with amirs raised from infancy as its mainstay. Thus the Ilkhanate was transferred from a conquering into a centrally organized state. After the death of Ghazan Khan, the clans of his half-brother Uljaitu Khan became very inffluential. Then after the death of Abu Sa'id Khan the lineage of Hulagu's family ceased, and with this the Ilkhanate lost its unifying center of power and fell apart. From the ensuing fights of the various tribes the Jalair clan emerged as the ruling family of Adherbaijan. They continued the various centralizing reforms initiated by Ghazan Khan, which then came to flourishfully. |
