抄録: | The Various Palace Commissioners (neizhusishi 内諸司使), installed in and around the palace, can be classified into nine types according to their function. This paper examines each of these nine in detail. Among them, the Flying Dragon Commissioner (feilongshi 飛龍使), which guarded the palace, and the Palace Secretary (shumishi 樞密使), which participated in most important state affairs, are of partieular importance. These commissionerships, at the beginning, had evolved from the bureaucracy according to the Codes and Statutes rather than totally outside of it. However, the emperor's move to the Daming Palace decisively caused the various affairs there to be entrusted to eunuches who were close to him. As a result, the Various Palace Commissioners were separated from the Codes and Statutes bureaucracy, and formed a more independent organization grasped by eunuches, which became increasingly vast and perpetual afterwards. |
