ブランドの価値評価と価値関連性分析 : 藤月会論集第22号

Abstract

This paper investigates the validity and improvement possibility of evaluation of brand value on Japanese firms in the manufacturing industry (food, fane chemical) and the non-manufacturing industry (system applications) on the basis of the efficient market hypothesis. We inspect the validity of the evaluation model of brand value proposed by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and verify improvement possibility of the model by reflecting industry properties. As a method of statistical analysis, we use multiple regression analysis whose dependent variable is a stock price and a simplify version of the Vuong test. This leads to the following conclusion that : (1) In all the industries, the brand value by the brand valuation model of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry is comprehensively insufficient for giving additional explanation capability to a stock price, (2) By using the variables reflecting the characteristics of each industry, improvement in stock price explanation capability is found.

この論文は効率的市場仮説に基づいてブランド価値評価の妥当性と改良可能性を明らかにするものである。分析の対象とした企業は製造業(食料品、ファインケミカル)と非製造業(システムアプリケーション)に属する日本の企業である。株価を被説明変数とした重回帰分析や簡易版Vuong検定を用いて、経済産業省のブランド価値評価モデルによるブランド価値評価の妥当性、及び業界特性を反映させることによるモデルの改良可能性について検証を行った。この分析から、(1)経済産業省のブランド価値評価モデルによるブランド価値では、業界すべてにおいて包括的に株価に対して追加的な説明力を持たせるには不十分であること (2)各業界の特性を反映した変数を用いることで、株価説明力の向上が見られることが明らかになった。
