dc.description.abstractThree forms of nauplius y type VIII larvae (VIII-a, VIII-b, VIII-c) are described from Tanabe Bay on the Pacific coast of Japan. The type VIII larvae are characterized by a peculiar shape of the body, which is extremely flattened dorso-ventrally and with paired notches on anterior side. Three forms are discernible from each other in the armature of appendages as well as in the sculpture on the cephalic shield.en
