dc.description.abstractDischarge-rates of the observed springs were affected by the heavy draft continued for two days from a test well in Kinosaki Spa. Pumping effect diminished according to the distance from the test well and some increases in discharge were rather found at the furthest two springs. The total amounts of discharge and draft showed about 20% of increase from those before pumping. Gradual lowerings in the level of unconfined groundwater were also found in some wells after pumping began. CI’ contents in the thermal springs greatly affected by pumping decreased their amounts during the period of the test, while those in other springs maintained almost constant values. These informations show the close relation for interchange of the water between cofined and unconfined aquifers.en
