| 抄録: | In "On Denoting" (1905), Bertrand Russell advocates: "a phrase, " whether or not there is an entity that is the denotation, "is denoting solely in virtue of its form." This thesis results from Russell's conceptions of belief, facts and truth; that is, a belief is 'true, ' when it has an appropriate relation with one or more facts. This paper examines the genesis of Russell's notion of denoting, that is to say, his understanding of the essential characteristic of a belief. |
