マツ類のさし木に関する研究 : (第2報) アカマツのさし木の発根に及ぼす母樹の年令の影響

Abstract

本報は採穂母樹の年令と発根との関係を明らかにする目的で, アカマツ (Pinus densiflora) を材料として実験した｡ その結果は次のとおりであつた｡ (1) 一般にさし穂をとる母樹の年令がたかくなるにつれて, さし穂の枯死率は次第にたかくなる傾向があつた｡ (2) カルスの形成と発根とのあいだには密接な関係があり, 根はすべてカルスから生じた｡ (3) 採穂母樹の年令がたかくなるにつれて, カルスの形成はわるくなり, 生存率や発根率は低くなり, 平均さし穂1本当りの発根根数は減少する傾向があつた｡ とくに母樹の年令が6年以上になると1本も発根しなかつた｡

This report gives the results of experiment, which were conducted to make clear how the rooting response of the cuttings of Pinus densiflora was connected with the age of the trees which the cuttings were collected from. The outline is following. 1. Generally speaking, in proportion to the age of the trees which the cuttings were collected from, the percentage of dead cuttings became larger. 2. There was a close relation between the formation of callus tissue and the rooting: nothing but the callus tissue produced the adventitious roots. 3. In proportion to the age of the trees which the cuttings were collected from, the formation of callus tissue became slower, the percentage of alived cuttings and rooted cuttings smaller, and the number of roots per rooted cutting smaller. This was especially remarkable in case that the age of the trees was over six years: no cuttings collected from such old trees formed roots.
