抄録: This is the report of the time study on the logging and the transportation which was done in Kyoto Univ. Forest at Asyu, kyoto, May to September 1960. The study was done on each of Standing-tree-cutting, Logmaking and Log-gathering. In this rèsumé, only the significant factors which had some effect on the amount of each work investigated are described here, and at the same time, the figures and the tables connected with those factors are pointed out. All trees cut there were Sugi. 1) The amount of Standing-cutting by hand in a hour per man(m3/man hour). Standing-tree-cutting consists of felling, branch-cutting, and barking time. The significant factors are D. B. H., the number of the branches, the direction of felling, footing state, and individal variation. See Tables 2, 3, & Figures 1, 2. 2) The amount of Log-making by hand in a hour per man (m3/man hour). After seasoning for about a month, they cut the tree by the length of 2, 4 or, if neccessaey, 3 meters and make logs for market. The auther writes "log" in that meaning. The significant factors are individual variation and the height of tree. See Tables 8, 9, & Fig. 5. 3) The amount of the work gathering logs by hand in a hour per man (m3×m/man hor). After all the works mentioned above finish, the logs distributing there are gathered to the bottom of the valley by hand. The significant factors are team, gradient, the number of the trees cut per 100m2 and the amout of the logs per 100m2. See Tables 11, 12, & Figurer 6, 7.
