菌類社会学の方法論についての検討 (I) : 最小調査面積に関する問題点

Abstract

高等菌類を集団社会として扱う考え方は, 菌類社会を地理学的に扱っている内に表われた副産物といってよい。すなわち, 個々の菌に有機的関係が見られることを表現したのは, 地理学的見地から得られた所産であった。したがって最小調査面積も, 地理学的側面での研究の充足を主旨としていた。このようなことからも, たとえ永久プロットを設定したとしても, この考え方がある限り集団社会を理解してゆく姿勢の助けとはならない。そこで, いわゆる菌類を社会学的に扱ったときの最小調査面積設定方法について調査面積と調査期間を追求したところ, 調査面積は (1) 式によって表わされ, 調査期間は種数一面積曲線の種数を百分率で表わすことにより, 日本においては1回の結実期のピーク, すなわち梅雨期, 秋期のいずれかで定められるという見通しがついた。これらは, 高等菌類の空間利用の方法についての理解の面へと発展してゆく。いずれにしても, 高等植物の種々の概念とは質的に異なることをふまえての発展であることを忘れてはならない。

The object of the present report is to ascertain the difference of life from between green plants and higher fungi, and to determinate the minimal investigation area from the view point of myco-sociology. Permanent sample areas of 300 sq. m and 200 sq. m ewre respectively established in Quercus-Castanopsis and Cryptomeria-Chamaecyparis stands. The results of these investigations are put in order by using species-area curve. These These curves closely correspond to the following equation of law of diminishing by MITCHERLICH. [Figure omitted] Minimal investigation area was shown by this equation, arid on the other side, minimal investigation term that the higher fungi peculiarly take, was recognized by only one peak of fructification term, namely, by the investigation in rainy season or autumn in Japan. However, it is unable to show here how is the absolute value of the number of species in minimal investiagtion area. The aim of the authors is at present to discuss the various processes for this determination. Fungi are more sensitive to ecological fluctuations than green plants. Such an investigation makes it clear that further study on the ecology of the higher fungi is indispensable. Anyway, their spartical distributions are important for the analysis of a fungal community.
