流木災害の実態と山地河川における流木

Abstract

洪水時に発生する災害には, 主として出水災害・流送土砂害があるが, その他に流木による災害がある。流木は, 土砂石とともに洪水の破壊規模を増大させる一つの要因であることは, 以前からいわれているところであり, 近時の災害においても, その事実は無視できない場合が見られる。本論文では, 先ず, 流木による災害の事例を概括的に論述し, その実態とりわけ被害形態について分析した。その結果, それを一次的形態, 二次的形態およびその他の付随的な形態に整理分類できることがわかった。次に, 山地河川における流木調査資料および既存の調査報告書を基にして, 流木の発生と停止の場所, 発生と停止の機構および形状・寸法について実証的に明らかにした。また, 流木の発生機構面からみて, その発生防止の方策には, 主として四つの対策が考えられるとした。

The disasters at heavy rains have been generally caused by the flood waters and run- off sediment. However we must also pay attention to the disaster caused by drifting woods as well as the formers, because the drifting woods increase the scale of disaster. The present paper describes mainly the following points and makes them clear in details, according to the field investigations and several literatures on this subject, a) actual conditions of the disaster by drifting woods and classification of the damaged forms. b) mechanism of the outbreak and accumulation of the drifting woods, size and shape of the drifting woods, in mountainous river. c) preventive measures against the outbreak of the drifting woods.
