dc.description.abstractマツ属に特異的に認められる多様な新条伸長を整理して理解するために, 多数の針葉樹類の主軸伸長様式と冬芽の構造を調べ, 次の結果が得られた。1. 針葉樹類は, 分類上の種群に特有の伸長様式を示した。その様式は, 冬芽の形態または生活形に関連する。2. ヒノキ科植物では, 冬芽の構造が著しく単純であり, 主軸伸長は生育期間を通じて徐々に伸長した。3. スギ科植物では, 冬芽の形態が単純な種や, 明確な冬芽を形成する種など, やや複雑な構造をもつ。針葉樹の一般的傾向として, 冬芽形成が明らかな種類ほど一頂型の伸長様式を示す傾向が認められた。4. マツ属を除くマツ科植物は, 春から夏に急速に伸長し, 秋までに厚い芽鱗に包まれた冬芽を形成して休眠する, 一頂型の伸長様式を示した。5. マツ属の冬芽は, 他のマツ科植物に比べると異質な形態を有し, 短枝が集合してひとつの大きな冬芽を形成する。短枝と長枝の原基が相同であり, 短枝が集合した冬芽の構造から, パンクスマツ型の冬芽など, 複雑な冬芽の形成が可能になると解釈された。6. マツ属には, 若い時代にfree growthの時代がある。テーダマツ型の伸長様式は, この性質が成木になっても維持されるものであると解釈された。ja
dc.description.abstractIn relation to diverse formation of new shoot in the genus Pinus, seasonal growth of shoot and anatomy of winter bud in many coniferae were examined, which had been planted under natural conditions at Kyoto. Shoot growth pattern in coniferous trees were related with morphological structure of bud, resulting species group of taxonomy. Cupressaceae species which have a very simple bud showed a simple slow growth pattern continuing during the growing season (Fig.1). Growth courses of Taxodiaceae are rather affected by seasnality especially in deciduous species (Fig.2). Except for pines, growth pattern of Pinaceae species shows one single flush or the more seasonal growth, which have a very completed winter bud (Fig.4, 5, Fig.6-J, A-G). The diverse formation of new shoots in pines comes from the nature of free growth and formation of multinodal bud as seen typically in Pinus radiata D. DON. Buds in pines are made from the mass of short shoot primodia(Fig. 7, I, J). The long shoot in the multinodal bud seemed to be formed by differentiation from the initial primodia of a short shoot. Another feature of free growth seemed to originate from the nature often seen in the young stage of pine seedlings. If the diverse formation arises from the nature stated above, the evolutional perspective on shoot growth type may differ from that proposed by SHOW(1914).en
