室内空間における木材率とイメージ (第2報)

Abstract

本報では前報に引続き、室内空間における木材率がその空間のイメージにどのように影響しているかを調査し、特に今回は、「自然な」および「斬新な」イメージを与える視覚物理量の影響を調べた。その結果、木材率は「自然な」イメージと相関が高く (相関係数0. 81)、木材の存在がいかに「自然な」イメージに大きく関与しているかを明らかにした。また、コンクリート (打放し) 率は「自然な」イメージに対し負の相関を示した。一方、「斬新な」イメージについては、木材率との間に単純な相関はなく、木材率が0に近いか100に近い空間は、通常あまり見かけない空間となり、「斬新な」イメージが高くなる場合が多いことか明らかとなった。

Continuing from the last paper1) , influence of wood ratio of interior space on the psychological images, especially, "natural" and "novel" images were investigated with 48 photos of various rooms. Results of the questionnaires were as follows : The wood ratio has high correlation with "natural" image (correlation coefficient = 0.81), and concrete ratio has negative effect. There is no simple relation between wood ratio and "novel" image. Since interior spaces with no wood and full of wood are unusual, "novel" image increases when the wood ratio is nearly 0% or 100%. A space which is not only "natural" but also "novel" space can be designed using full of wood like as photo No. 19.
