<原著論文>ヒトiPS細胞研究の道徳的共犯論 --日本のヒトiPS 細胞研究への含意の検討

Abstract

本稿の目的は、ヒトiPS 細胞研究の道徳的共犯性の議論が、日本のヒトiPS 細胞研究にいかなる示唆を与えるのかを検討することにある。研究手順としては、第1章(「1.」)で本研究の背景と目的を描いた後、第2章(「2.」)でヒト胚の道徳的地位に関する三つの立場を紹介し、それぞれの立場におけるヒトES 細胞研究への含意を確認する。続いて第3章(「3.」)では、ヒトiPS 細胞研究の道徳的共犯論の特徴を二つの場合、すなわち、不正を助長する場合と不正から恩恵を受ける場合に分けて検討する。第4章(「4.」)では、ヒト胚の取扱いとヒトES 細胞研究に対する日本の基本的な考え方を確認したうえで、ヒトiPS 細胞研究の道徳的共犯論が、日本のヒトiPS 細胞研究にいかなる含意を持つのかを論理的な一貫性の観点から考察する。

This article attempts to elucidate how moral complicity arguments of human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) research imply for the research in Japan. After the first chapter describes the background and purpose of this article, the second chapter introduces three views of moral status of human embryos and their implications for human embryonic stem cell (ESC) research. The third chapter analyses the characteristics of moral complicity of human iPSC research, especially in terms of promoting wrongdoing and benefiting from wrongdoing. Finally, based on the Japanese views of handling of human embryos and human ESC research, from the viewpoint of consistency, the fourth chapter clarifies which implications moral complicity arguments have for hiPSC research in Japan.
