Abstract: A rare starfish Anseropoda petaloides (Goto, 1914), of which body length (R) is 33 mm, was newly recorded from off Hinomisaki-Point (100-130 m deep), Wakayama Prefecture, Japan in 2017, with some remarks on the former records, particularly on one unrecorded specimen collected from Oki Islands (54 m deep), Shimane Prefecture in 1989.
