尾崎翠「第七官界彷徨」論 --「蘚の恋」をめぐって--

Abstract

尾崎翠「第七官界彷徨」(『文学党員』一九三一年二月−三月号, 『新興芸術研究』一九三一年六月) には, 「人間の恋」と「蘚の恋」が描かれる. 作中の「蘚」は雌雄同株(両性具有) のマルダイゴケである可能性が高く, 「蘚の恋」は「両性具有の恋」であると考えられる. 「両性具有の恋」は, 他者を必要としない自己完結した恋である. それは, 本作で描かれた「人間の恋」(片思いによる失恋) とも共通する特徴である. 翠がこのような自己完結型の恋愛を描いた背景には, フロイトの昇華理論に基づく子を産み育てることへの抵抗があったと考えられる. 「失恋」及び人間における「両性具有の恋」は, 出産育児に結びつかず, 昇華エネルギーを損なう恐れのない恋である. 作中で「人間の恋」が全て失恋に終わり, 「蘚の恋」が次々と成就することは, 「失恋」と「両性具有の恋」こそ, 女詩人を目指す町子にとって理想の恋であることを象徴している.

A novel by Midori Ozaki, "Wandering in the Seventh Sense World" (1931), describes human love and moss's love. The moss in the story is more likely to be T. angustatus which is monoecious. That is why the moss's love is regarded as love of the androgyny. The love of the androgyny is self-contained love without needing others. The character of the love of such an androgyny is common to the human love in the story, lost love by the unrequited love. The reason why Midori described self-contained lost love is that there was a feeling to avoid having a child and taking care of a baby. It was based on sublimation theory of Freud. Lost love and the love of the human androgyny do not lead to having a child and taking care of the baby. They do not disturb sublimation energy. All human love ends in lost love by the unrequited love. And moss's love accomplishes it in sequence. This may say that the lost love by the unrequited love and the love of androgyny were love ideal for Machiko to be a woman poet.
