<論説>唐帝国の世界性

Abstract

本稿は昭和四二年一一月二日、史学研究会大会における公開講演の論旨に若干の補訂をほどこしたものである。唐朝は一般に世界帝国と称されているが、その概念はすこぶるあいまいである。そこで唐の世界性について(1)唐と東アジア世界との関係、(2)唐の一特質をなす律令体制について、(3)唐と北アジア世界との関係、(4)「安・史の乱」を通じてみた唐の世界性、の四つの点からこれを論述した。

This article is a revised one of the public lecture in the meeting of the Shigaku Kenkyukai, or the Society of Historical Research, on November 2, 1967. The T'ang 唐 dynasty is called the world empire in general, but the conception of these words is too uncertain. Then, we explain the universality of the T'ang dynasty from the four points; (1) its relation to the East-Asian world, (2) the Lü-ling 律令 system as one of the characteristics of the T'ang dynasty, (3) its relation to the North-Asian world, and (4) its universality through the Rebellion of An-shih 安史.
