<論説>古代港津の歴史地理学的考察 : 瀬戸内における港津址比定を中心として

Abstract

小稿では主として古代、律令期の瀬戸内北岸東半部の港津址を比定することを目的とする。難波津あるいは難波御津は、遺称地名および地形発達史的な考察から大阪市南区三津寺町付近に求めるのが妥当と考える。それに関連して安曇江を北区野崎町付近に字名から考定し、その西に新羅江庄を比定すれば堀江は通説に従って天満川に求めうる。また難波江には堂島川玉江橋北に求めたい。住吉三津、敷津、榎津も住吉神社周辺に地名、地形的考察から比定できる。五泊の位置については河尻泊は尼崎市今福、大輪田泊は旧湊川河口部、魚住泊は明石市江井ケ島、韓泊は姫路市的形に求め得、檉生泊は現在の室津港そのものと考えてよい。古代における港は駅、郡家、国府と近接し結節機能の一端を担っていたと想定される事例をあげることができる。例えば賀古駅と水児船瀬や住吉郡家、児島郡家あるいは国府の外港つまり国津についての場合である。もとより難波津は国家的レベルの要津としての位置を占め畿内の陸路・水路は難波と結びついていた。

The object of this article is to presume the site of ports in the Setouchi 瀬戸内 in ancient Japan, especially in the era of Ritsuryo 律令. Naniwa-tsu 難波津 and Naniwa-mitsu 難波三津, the most important ports of the state, are thought to be situated in Mitsudera-cho, Minami-ku, Osaka. 大阪市南区三津寺町. Around the Sumiyoshi 住吉 Shrine was a group of ports, such as Sumiyoshi-mitsu 住吉三津, Shikitsu 敷津, and Enatsu 榎津, which formed an area of the important ports in the southern part of Settsu 摂津. Gohaku 五泊 were the prots which was established with a distance of one day's sail from the country of Harima 播磨 to that of Settsu, and we can confirm their calculated disposition by our presuming their site. Overland stations, Gunge 郡家, or Kokufu 国府 is thought to form a nodal region by its connection with sea ports, such as the lover Kako River 加古川, Sumiyoshi-gunge 住吉郡家 and Kojima-gunge 児島郡家, or the outport of Kokufu 国府.
