<研究ノート>倭の五王とその祖先について

Abstract

倭の五王の、当時の天皇への比定については、松下見林・那珂通世以来の説でほぼ定まったように見えるが、その比定の方法には問題があるので、ここに別な考えを以て、従来の比定を一層確実なものにしたいと思う。同時にその祖先たる応神天皇は本来の伝承は極めて僅かで、少なくとも記録の上では後に増修されて巨大な存在とされたこと、その母親神功皇后については朝鮮征討のときのある従軍巫女の実在が物語化されて一層神秘的な開祖伝説とされたことを推測してみたい。

The problem to decide the emperors who "were the Five Kings of Japan" should have generally been established by Kenrin Matsushita 松下見林 and Michiyo Naka 那珂通世; but there are some questions in the method of their deciding. This article presents another opinion which would make the traditional decision surer. At the same time, we will speculate the assumption that Emperor Ojin 応神天皇, their ancestor, had very few legends and was made to be a great existence at least through many additional records, and the legend of Queen Jingu 神功皇后, his mother, was more mysteriously framed up with the existence of female mediums at the front in the Conquest of Korea.
