<論説>三たび呂氏春秋上農等四篇に見える農業技術について

Abstract

韓国の閔成基教授の論文「呂氏春秋農法の新考察」を紹介し、私見を加えた。閔氏は呂氏春秋に見える農法においてすでに一畝三甽の作畝法がおこなわれたが、ただそれは任地篇に見える八寸耜によって作成された甽の広さは八寸、隴の広さは一尺二寸であり、また播種法については上田は甽中播種、下田は隴上播種であるとした。これに対して私は、一畝三甽説には賛成するか、その甽と隴の広さは一尺を規準としたものであり、また播種法は任地篇では閔氏説と同じであるが、弁土篇では上田・下田ともに隴上播種であると考える。

this article introduces the essay by Prof. Song Ki Min 閔成基 of Korea "A Study of Agricultural Art in Lü-shih-ch'un-ts'iu 呂氏春秋" with some opinion of the writer. According to Mr. Min in the cultivation of Lü-shih-ch'un-ts'iu 呂氏春秋 the way of making a ridge of one Mou 畝 three Ch'uan 甽 had been carried into effect, but the width of Ch'uan made by eight Ts'un 寸 Szu 耜 in the volume of Jên-ti 任地 is eight Ts'un and that of Lung 隴 one Ch'ih 尺 two Ts'un and in the way of sawing Shang-t'ien 上田 is planted by Ch'uan-chung-po-chung 甽中播種 and Hsia-t'ien 下田 by Lung-shang-po-chung 隴上播種. On the contrary, my opinion is that I-mou-san-ch'uan 一畝三甽 theory should be agreed upon, but the widths of Ch'uan and Lung 隴 consist in the standard of one Ch'ih; and the sawing in the volume of Jên-ti should be agreed upon, but in the volume of Pien-t'u 弁土 both Shang-t'ien and Hsia-t'ien be planted by Lung-shang-po-chung.
