<論説>斎藤内閣の成立をめぐって

Abstract

一九三二年五月、五・一五事件ののちに成立した斎藤実＝挙国一致内閣は、結果的には政党内閣を終熄せしめたものであるが、その成立事情については、研究が十分でない。本稿では戦前の新聞・雑誌や政治評論に一部新資料を加え、伝記類を検討しつつ、軍部勢力の強大化と政党勢力衰退の実情、宮中勢力の動向を究明しようとしたものである。

After the so called "5.15 Affair", in May 1932, was formed the Makoto Saito national Cabinet, which, as a result, brought to an end of the party cabinet, but the circumstances of the formation of this cabinet do not seem to have been enough studied. This article aims, by examining the newspapers, magazines, political pamphlets, biographies as well as the unknown sources, to investigate the circumstances under which the political power of the army grew strong while that of the political party became weak, and the movements of the royal court in those days.
