<論説>近代エジプトにおけるサラフィーヤ運動とスーフィズム

Abstract

近代エジプトにおけるサラフィーヤ運動は、ムハンマド・アブドゥフとムハンマド・ラシード・リダーを指導者として、十九世紀末から今世紀初めに開始された。彼らの主要な目的は、ビドアを排撃し、スンナを回復することであった。そのため、彼らは、当時のエジプトのスーフィズムには厳しい攻撃を加えた。本稿では、ラシード・リダーの編集した、『マナール』誌によって、彼のスーフィズム観を検討し、ついで、晩年のアブドゥフの反スーフィズム活動を考察した。そして、彼らの運動の復古主義的、ファンダメンタリズム的側面に光をあてることを試みた。

Salafiyya movement in modern Egypt was inaugurated by Muhammad 'Abduh and Muhammad Rashid Rida at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. Their main aim was to attack bid'a and recover sunna, so they criticized bitterly Sufism or Islamic mysticism in Egypt. In this paper, I examined Rashid Rida's articles treating Sufism in his famous journal Al-Manar. Then I attempted to illustrate Muhammad 'Abduh's anti-Sufism activities in his last years. Through these investigations, I illustrated their revivalistic, fundamentalistic aspects of their movement.
