<論説>春秋國人考

Abstract

研究史上、春秋期の社会は世族と「國人」との関係及びその変質過程に於て説関されることが一般であったのだが、私見に拠れば「國人」の具体的内容及び「國人」と世族との人的結合関係の性格は必ずしも的確には把握されていない。かかる錯誤は主に基本史料たる『左伝』の個々の記事に於ける記者の関心の所在が充分に考慮されていないことと、『左伝』とは異質な史料の無批判な使用に由来する。本稿は『左伝』及びそれとの同質性或いは同時代性が或程度保証された史料に使用対象を限定し、以下の構成で「國人」をめぐる諸問題を考察する。第一章では「國人」の身分的内容が、第二章では「國人」の軍事上の役割及びその経済的基盤が確認される。第三章では前二章の所見を踏えつつ、「國人」と世族との人的結合関係の具体像が解明される。以上の考察を経て、春秋期の多様な人的結合関係を歴史的に評価するための、初歩的な展望が提示されるであろう。

Generally scholars have explained the Chinese society in the Spring and Autumn period, focussing the relationship of the shizu 世族 with the guoren and its change. But the author of this article thinks that they can't grasp substance of the guoren and character of its personal relationship with the shizu properly. This defect was caused by their discussion without regard for purpose of each description of the Zuochuan 左伝 and by uncritical use of other historical sources which never have the same quality as the Zuochuan. In this article, using only the Zuochuan and other historical sources assured either to have the same quality or to be contemporary with it, the author tries to clarify the following subjects on the guoren. 1. The guoren as status. 2. Military role and economic base. 3. Personal relationship with the shizu.
