<論説>周王子弟の封建 : 鄭の始封・東遷をめぐって

Abstract

西周末期に行われた鄭の「封建」は、周王朝の封建制の実態を知る上で貴重な実例となるものである。しかし、この西周末期から王朝の東遷期にかけての時代は、同時に史料の断絶や欠落などの障害が甚だしい時代でもある。従って、本稿の第一章においては、鄭「封建」の一般的な知識をもたらす『史記』の記述についての検討を試み、その記述が先行する史料を再構築したものであり、そこに一定の偏りが存在することを明らかにする。第二章では鄭の周王子弟としての側面に注目し、鄭が王朝内において担った官制上の機能が周王子弟としての出自に由来すること、『史記』がこの側面を捨象する傾向をもつことを指摘する。また第三章においては、このような属性をもつ鄭の「封建」さらに東遷の実態あるいはその意味が検討される。本稿は前稿の課題を引き継ぐものであり、ここで扱う題材を通して、前稿で示した王朝の構造についての理念的理解が改めて検討されることとなる。

Zheng's enfeoffment (鄭封建) at the end of the Western Zhou period is an important example in understanding the system of enfeoffment in the Zhou Dynasty. Research of the period from the end of the Western Zhou period to the eastward-transfer era (東遷期) is known to have many obstacles including the lack and intermittente nature of historical data. So, in the first chapter, we have tried to discuss the description of Shiji 史記, accepted as general knowledge about Zheng's enfoeffment. Moreover, we clarified that Shiji consists on reconstructed materials and has a certain bias. Next, from the point of view of Zheng being a scion of the Zhou Dynasty, we pointed out that Zheng's official function in Zhou Dynasty derived from its birth as a scion of the Zhou Dynasty. In addition, Shiji has a tendency to give it no attention. Thirdly, we discussed the actual condition or meaning of Zheng's enfeoffment and the eastward-transfer with this attribute. Through these materials, continued from the preceding article, we reconsidered the conceptual understanding about the constitution of the Zhou Dynasty.
