<論説>甲骨祭祀と歴組の断代

Abstract

甲骨文の断代は董作賓「甲骨文断代研究例」の五期区分以来行われ、現在でもこれは基本的に継承されているが、この中には未だ時期区分が特定されていない「歴組」と呼ばれる甲骨文のグループがある。本稿では、第一節で甲骨文の系譜に関する基本的な要素である甲骨文の祖先祭祀の性質を明らかにし、第二節でこれを元に歴組の時期の特定を行う。本稿での最大の成果は、歴組の時期を特定したことにより甲骨文を時間軸から扱いやすい史料にしたことであるが、甲骨祭祀の意義を明らかにしたことも重要であり、これまでは文献や後代との比較が中心であった殷代の王権・継承・血縁といった問題を、直接甲骨文から考えることが可能になった。董作賓以来の時期区分を再検討した第四節は、直接甲骨文の系譜を分析することによって初めて可能になったものである。

Dating of inscriptions on oracle bones was started in about 1930, and this has continued up to now, but there remain Lizu inscriptions that have not been assigned precise dates. This thesis will prove the character of ancestor worship on oracle bones in the first chapter, and based on this analysis, decide the period of the Lizu inscriptions in the second chapter. The most important result of this thesis is the latter, because it makes inscriptions on oracle bones easy to deal with chronologically. But the former is also important, addressing questions of royal prerogative, succession, and blood relations in the Shang period which have been studied from only literature, or comparison with posterity, directing from inscriptions on oracle bones.
