<研究ノート>用途からみる弥生土器の変遷 : 河内第IV～V様式を中心に

Abstract

Yayoi pottery of the Kinai district underwent great changes between the middle phase and the late phase. This paper directs its attention to the uses and functions of pottery, and analyzes which parts of pottery soot and carbonized contents stuck to and how the shapes of Yayoi pottery (pots) of Kawachi region changed. As a result, it can be concluded that the shapes of pottery were fixed to each use and had changed to bring out the functional differences from each other, from the latter middle through the late phase. Therefore, pottery in this time is thought to change under the influence of the interaction of these two changes. These changes headed in the opposite direction from which Yayoi pottery had taken until then, and that is thought to reflect the dissolution of Yayoi moated settlements and the changes of group structures which were among the great changes in society at this time.
