唐代の鮑謝

Abstract

There were two well-known poets whose family name were Xie 謝 before the Tang dynasty. One was Xie Lingyun 謝靈運 in the Liu Song 劉宋 period, and the other was Xie Tiao 謝朓 in the Southern Qi 南齊 period. In this paper, I will address the question concerning who was Xie of "Bao Xie" 鮑謝 in the Tang 唐 dynasty. Bao 鮑 of "Bao Xie", is no doubt, Bao Zhao 鮑照, a famous poet in the Liu Song period. This brings forth another question concerning who was Xie? Most researchers in the Southern Song南宋 dynasty thought "Bao Xie" was Bao Zhao and Xie Tiao. However, at present, many researchers think "Bao Xie" is Bao Zhao and Xie Lingyun. In fact, the "Jian shi" 薦士 poem written by Han Yu 韓愈 include "Bao Xie", and the "Ji Li Qizhou" 寄李蔪州 poem written by Bai Juyi 白居易 include "Bao Xie". It is clear and evident that these two examples of "Bao Xie" are referencing Bao Zhao and Xie Tiao. On the other hand, Du Fu 杜甫 probably used "Bao Xie" as Bao Zhao and Xie Lingyun. In conclusion, I could assume that there were two usages of "Bao Xie" in the Tang dynasty. One usage means Bao Zhao and Xie Tiao. They were looked upon as the proponents who opened up new types of poems by the people in the Tang dynasty. And in the other usage, "Bao Xie" refers to Bao Zhao and Xie Lingyun.This usage was started by Du Fu, as he set a high valuation on Bao Zhao poems. Owing to apotheosis of Du Fu thereafter, this usage had an increasingly powerful impact on posterity.
