<実践報告>日本語学習システム「さみどり」 --京都大学国際高等教育院附属日本語・日本文化教育センターウェブ教材開発の実践報告--

Abstract

本稿は、日本語学習者を対象としたウェブ教材「さみどり」(2012年公開)の開発について概説したものである。本学が受け入れる留学生の多様化に伴い、より体系的に日本語が学習できるウェブ環境の整備が必要となったことを受け、2018年3月に「さみどり」の全面リニューアルを実施した。留学生が渡日してから受講する正規日本語科目において円滑に学習が続けられるように、来日前から、かな、語彙、文法の基礎を築く手段を提供することが、今回のリニューアルの目的であった。本稿前半では、「さみどり」の基本コンセプト、システムの主な機能、リニューアルの際に行った改良・拡充、また新たに作成した初級日本語教材について述べた。本稿後半では、この新教材の文法シラバスの基準となる、「さみどり」における動詞導入の基本的な考えを概観した。従来の日本語初級教科書は、「マス形」中心の教授法が主流であるが、このシステムではこれは採らない。日本語と言語類型論的に動詞組織が非常に似ていて、「文典」が整い、動詞導入の「標準」が確立しているドラヴィダ諸語のテキストの例を参考にした。かつ、この標準に則っても整合性をもつ益岡・田窪(1992)および菊地(1994)の枠組みを基本とし、また、海老原(2015)をも参照し、「ナイ形」、「マス形」、「辞書形」、「条件形」、「意向形」および「テ形」を動詞基本形として構成した。

This paper describes the development of samidori, an online Japanese language learning system released in 2012, at Kyoto University. Samidori was renewed in 2018 in response to a growing need to provide students abroad a more structured online Japanese learning environment. One of the primary aims is to offer students a systematic and efficient means of mastering the kana syllabary and gaining a sufficient foundation in elementary vocabulary and grammar in order to facilitate a smooth transition into formal Japanese language classes after their arrival. In the first half of this paper, the authors explain samidori's basic concept, the system's main features, the design improvements made in 2018, and the development of a new series of elementary lessons modeled on the grammar-based syllabus discussed in the second half of this paper. This syllabus incorporates a new approach for teaching elementary Japanese. Unlike many standard Japanese textbooks that introduce verb forms by generating them from the -masu form, this approach, which borrows on the framework of Masuoka and Takubo (1992) and Kikuchi (1994), aims for students to acquire a holistic understanding of Japanese verb inflections before they attempt to master the individual forms and sentence patterns.
