<研究ノート>文の統合と文章構成に関する問題点 --日本語・日本文化研修留学生のレポートから--

Abstract

大学レベルの日本語能力を有する文系の留学生が専門的なレポートにおいて考察を書く際の文の統合と文章構成の問題点を明らかにするため、2014-2015年度の京都大学日本語・日本文化研修プログラムに在籍した19名のレポートの下書きを調査した。その結果、I)文・文章間の係り受けの不備、II)論述の展開の不備、III)記述・説明の不備という問題点が認められた。このうち、II)論述の展開の不備の問題は、論理構成に関わる問題を含んでいると考えられる。実際に、Ⅱ)の例の中には、引用文献を無批判に自説の根拠として用いていると思われるものが存在しており、従来言われている無断使用の問題とは別の引用の問題が見られる。こうした論述の展開を行うということは、やはり「学術的なレポートとはどういうものか」という概念理解が不十分である可能性が高く、単に日本語能力の問題に留まらないと考えられる。

This paper clarifies problems concerning sentence structure and development of argumentative parts in academic papers that were written by students in the humanities department. This research examined drafts written by 19 students who were enrolled in Kyoto University's Language and Culture program during the 2014-2015 fiscal year. As a result, three problems were observed; I) inadequacy in the co-occurrence relation of sentence elements, II) inadequate discussion structure, III) lack of descriptive and explanatory parts. II) seemed to be caused by flawed logical structure. In fact, some examples related to II) show that the argumentation was based on citations that were left critically undiscussed. The results indicate that these problems are influenced, not only by a lack of Japanese writing ability, but also by difficulties in acquiring the general scheme of academic writing.
