Abstract

The Jinko-ki played the role important for development of mathematics in Japan., and many researches have also been done. However, since spirit of innovation is not observed in the contents of the Jinko-ki, the evaluation from a mathematics viewpoint is low. Rather, the Jinko-ki is evaluated highly in respect of cultural history, history of education, an economic history, etc. In research from this viewpoint, they make portions other than a solution applicable to consideration. Moreover, in the research from a mathematics viewpoint, the portion of a solution is not historical reading which is carrying out the interpretation which uses contemporary This paper aims at historical reading of the solution portion in the Jinko-ki. And I considered it as the object about the commercial problem in the Jinko-ki. This paper surveys and compares with the treatment of the Jinko-ki the treatment of the commercial problem in the China mathematics and Western mathematics which had big influence on the Jinko-ki formation. The commercial problem in the Jinko-ki specialized in the practical commercial problem, and the result became clear that it was a high mathematics document of convenience..
