<論説>中国殷代の櫛に就いて

Abstract

此の一文は近年世に出た河南省殷墟殷墓出土と認められる若干の玉櫛と一個の骨製櫛とに基いて、殷代の櫛の実際を述べたものである。初に一々の実物を調べた所見を詳しく記して上、それ等に自から一つの型のあって、この服飾品の上にも当代の文物の甚だ進んだもののあることが推考せられる。そして終りに当代の一般の服飾にも論及したのである。

This article is an attempt to describe some characteristics of the combs from the Yin-site, Ho-nan-shing (河南省), China. I have picked. up some of the combs of jade and a comb of bone. Having explained the characteristics of them, I attempted to find a typical feature common to all the finds. This, I might say, will illustrate a developed phase of civilization under the Yin dynasty and its effect upon the modes of costume of the age.
