<論説>初期大和政権の勢力圏

Abstract

同笵鏡の分有関係を分析すると、日本における三角縁神獣鏡の分布状態は、東方型と西方型との、鏡式によって大別された二種の分布圏を構成することが知られる。しかし、そのうち西方型の鏡の分布圏は一つの文化圏の存在をあらわすものであるが、東方型の鏡の分布圏は西方型の文化圏内における分布と、さらに文化圏が東方に拡張されたのちにおける分布との、二段階の分布の結果が組みあわされたものである。ここにいう西方型の文化圏とは、すなわち三〇〇年頃の大和政権の勢力圏を示すものであり、それが東方に拡張されたのは四世紀にはいったのちである。

Judging from the analysis on the share-portion of Dohankyo (同笵鏡), it is found that the distribution of Sankakuensinjukyo (三角縁神獣鏡) in Japan consists of two sections, one is eastern and the other western type. Though the mirrors of western type stand for the existence of one civilization, the distribution of the eastern type mirrors consists of the two stages, the first stage of which was within the culture of western type and the second stage of distribution was after its developing to the east. Cultural sphere of the western type means the influential sphere of the Yamato (大和) Dynasty about 300 A. D., which was not extended to the east until the fourth century.
