<論説>ルネサンス精神の動揺 : 二つの文化圏と世界観の苦闘 (特集 : 文化交流)

Abstract

一般にとかれている考え方から脱却して、十五世紀から十六世紀はじめにかけてフィレンツェに見られた思想的動揺が、なにに由来しているかをきわめようとした。まづアペニン山脈に分割されるポー河文化圏と、フィレンツェをふくむローマ文化圏を考えた。そして前地方を代表するアラビア起源のパドヴァ・アヴェロイズムの論理的現実的世界観の浸透にたいし、文学的共和国フィレンツェの世界観であったヒュマニズムが、みずからをまもり主張するためにいかに対応し苦闘していったかをのべて、このなかにルネサンス精神の動揺をもとめた。そしてこの時期に絶頂に達した東方とフィレンツェとの緊密性が、両文化圏の均衡をうちやぶったと考える。

Free from the general interpretation, we are going to clarify where the disquietude of ideas from the fifteenth to the sixteenth century came from, and how humanism, the world-outlook of literary republic Firenze, in the cultural sphere of Rome adjusted itself to and struggled against the penetration of logical and pragmatic world-outlook of Padova-Averroism originally Arabian in the cultural sphere of River Po. In the very point exists the disquietude of the Renaissance spirit, and the close contact of Firenze with Orient broke the balance between two cultural spheres.
