<特集文化交流 <そのII>>ナマースガ遺丘 : アナウ文化の再吟味

Abstract

遠古における東西文化の交流の問題を論ずる場合、アナウ文化のもつ比重は極めて大きいが、しかしこの文化の実体は餘り明かでない。なによりも必要なのは、アナウ文化の精確な編年を早急に樹立することである。そして近年発掘された中央アジア西南部のナマースガ遺丘は、この編年問題に鍵を与えるものである。そこで筆者は、その発掘報告に検討を加えながらナマースガ遺丘の諸交化を解説し、アナウ第三期頃の共同体の様相を具体的に究明すると共に、ナマースガ上層文化がアナウ第三期文化に平行し、中層文化がアナウ第二、三期文化間の溝渠を充たすことを明かにした。そしてナマースガ遺丘の三層に亘る丈化には、さらにこれを細分し、精確な編年をうち樹てるに足る可能性が含まれていることを指摘して、次ぎに行われる具体的な編年論の下地を用意したのである。

The entity of the Anau Culture is considerably obscure in spite of its enourmous gravity as to discuss the problem of cultural exchange between the West and the East in early ages. The urgent need of all is to establish its precise chronology upon the firm ground. For the solution of this chronological problem, Tepe Namazga, recently excavated, will furnish a key, which lies in the south-western border of Turkmen. Examining the preliminary report of excavations excuted there, the present writer expounds those sequented cultures of the site, surveys concretely the real aspects of a community found therein which is dated the age of the Anau III culture, and, on the other hand, explains the facts that the latest culture of Tepe Namazga should be paralleled with the Anau III culture and the middle culture could fill the hiatus existing between the Anau II and III cultures. He pointed out, then, the possibility to classify more acurately cultural sequence of three strata of Tepe Namazga and to establish thereon the precise chronology of the Anau Culture in order to prepare the necessary ground for concrete augment of the problem.
