<論説>唐代府兵制度拾遺

Abstract

本稿は「開元・天宝期を中心とする唐代兵制の諸様相」と云う題の下にまとめられた論稿の一部で、略々その第一章の主要部分に相当する。筆者はここで、兵役の母体をなした一般担税戸口、即ち州県籍帳に編せられた「百姓」と、軍府籍に載せられた府兵 (「衛士」) との関係を考え、所謂「軍府州」における (1) 州県民籍帳と軍府名簿との関係、 (2) 軍府名簿の作製手続、 (3) 点兵手続、 (4) 州県の管域と軍府の管轄との関係、 (5) 府兵の簡点年次の問題等を取扱つた。既に論じ尽された感ある府兵制であるが、最近紹介されつつある西域出土文書中の兵制関係史料を利用するための基礎作業として、又唐代の制度適用を特定部門についてできるだけ詳細に捉えて見るために研究した。

This article is a part of the monograph 'The Military System of T'ang 唐 centering the Kai-Yuan 開元 and Tien-Pao 天宝 periods, the main part of the first chapter. I, here, treat the relation between common tax-payers as a basis of military service, or Pai-hsing 百姓 registered in the Chou-hsien 州県 census, and Fu-P'ing 府兵 (Weiche 衛士) entered in the Chün-fu 軍府 register, and then the relation between (1) registers in Chou-hsien 州県 and Chün-fu 軍府, (2) the procedure of Chü-fu 軍府 register, (3) the conscription procedure, (4) the jurisdiction of Chou-hsien 州県 and Chün-fu 軍府, and (5) the conscription term of Fu-P'ing 府兵 in the so-called Chü-fu-chou 軍府州. Owing to many students' accomplishments, I try to study some points as a basic work to use resources of military system from Tun-Huang 敦煌 and Turfan which were recently introduced, and the investigation of some special aspects of T'ang system at work may be a basis of studying the developing history of official system in China.
